Children of Edward Albert and Gertrude A. Collins Gerwitz

Shirley Gertrude, born December 9, 1949, in Buffalo, NY.  She graduated from D’Yonville College in Buffalo in 1968 with a B.A. in Chemistry.

On July 8, 1967 she married Michael J. Zahm IV, born November 7, 1945 in Buffalo, NY.  He is the son of Michael J. Zahm III and Agnes Catherine Schrader.

Michael graduated from 1967 from Canisuis College in Buffalo with a BA in English.  He received his Masters in Education at Canisuis in 1969.  He is a distant relative of Katherine Josephine Zahm Gerwitz, the grandmother of Shirley.  He enlisted in the Reserve Officers Training Corps in February 1970 as a 2^nd Lt. He received his training at Ft. Lee, Virginia.  Shirley followed in March, 1970, to live with him during his training period.  In January, 1971, he was sent to Pusan, Korea.

Nancy Jean, born October 20, 1970 at Ft. Belvoir in Alexandria, VA.

Karen Ann, born May 8, 1975, in Williamsville, NY.

Jean Shirley, born June 24, 1953.  On August 31, 1973 married Matthew Phillip Schoeffield, born July 7, 1952.

Children:

Robin Mae, born July 3, 1981.

Ryan Matthew, born June 1, 1985 in Buffalo, NY.
